Analysing the question

To analyse any question effectively you need to consider the various parts that make up the question.  You need to find the task word/s, information words and limiting words.

What are the task words for your question?

                        Write a summary paper in which you discuss.   

What are the information words, ie the topics/issues you need to write about?

                        Ask yourself the question "Discuss what?"

The possible answer/s to this are attached to the assignment details provided in the Subject information.

You might discuss:
  • your views on critical and reflective thinking and whether you have identified
  • your critical thinking and learning styles;
  • becoming information literate;
  • developing the skills to become a lifelong learner;
  • nursing as a profession and a discipline;
  • your experience in studying this subject, particularly in relation to the ability to be reflective.

What are the limits of this question?
