Brainstorming for ideas

You probably already have a number of issues or themes you have identified in your journal that you want to include in your summary paper.  To clarify your thoughts, ask yourself some questions like:

• What are the main issues, themes or factors that have recurred or developed in your journal entries?
• Can you see any changes in those themes, areas or issues over the semester?
• How have these developed or changed through the "journey" of the subject?
• Are there any that have not progressed but are still central issues for you?
• How does your experience of these issues link to what you have read in the readings for the subject?

Jot down a list of your ideas that arise from these questions or others that you think of.  The ideas that result from your brainstorming will form the basis for the initial plan of your paper.
