When you first create your Schoolblogs site there are two stories
automatically created; the home or welcome story and also the about story. These
instructions explain how to edit these existing stories and also how to create
new stories.
You should set your preferences under the Editorial section of Preferences to
allocate who will have editing rights to your stories and also change the edit
window to WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface if you are using
Internet Explorer 5 or higher.
The first thing you will want to do after creating your Schoolblog site and setting preferences is to edit the welcome page. To do this, click the Edit this page button at the bottom of the welcome page

An edit window will then appear giving you the chance to change
the text of the welcome page.
Depending on your preferences this formatting will either be using a WYSIWYG
interface or using html commands.
Once you have finished editing your story, click the Post Changes button
and the changes will appear on your page.

You will also need to change the About page that is automatically
created.
To do this, select the About option from the left hand frame and then click
the Edit this Page button.

You can create new stories by selecting the Stories option from the Editors menu at the top of the screen.

A list of all of your stories will then be displayed.

The same edit window will then appear giving you the chance to
enter and format text for your new story.
Depending on your preferences this formatting will either be using a WYSIWYG
interface or using html commands.
If you already have your content in wordprocessing documents simply cut and
paste into the edit window.
Once you have finished editing your story, click the Post changes button
and the changes will appear on your page.

You can edit your new stories at any time by choosing the story you wish to edit from this list.

The story you select will then be displayed. To edit the story,
click the Edit this Page button.
Make the desired changes and then click the Post Changes button to save
your changes.

You can insert links to other stories by typing the name of the story in double quotes in the appropriate location of your story. In this example, the "full story", "history of tragedy" and "curse" stories will be placed in the list of links displayed at the bottom of the main headline page.

The associated stories will then appear as links at the specified locations in your story.

You can insert hyperlinks to other Web sites by selecting the hyperlink icon from the edit story window.

A window will then appear in which you need to type the URL of
the Web site you wish to be linked from your story.
Click the OK button to complete the hyperlink..
