Creating your online story using Weblogs

Editing your stories

When you first create your Schoolblogs site there are two stories automatically created; the home or welcome story and also the about story. These instructions explain how to edit these existing stories and also how to create new stories.

You should set your preferences under the Editorial section of Preferences to allocate who will have editing rights to your stories and also change the edit window to WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface if you are using Internet Explorer 5 or higher.

Editing existing stories

The first thing you will want to do after creating your Schoolblog site and setting preferences is to edit the welcome page. To do this, click the Edit this page button at the bottom of the welcome page

Edit this page

An edit window will then appear giving you the chance to change the text of the welcome page.

Depending on your preferences this formatting will either be using a WYSIWYG interface or using html commands.
Once you have finished editing your story, click the Post Changes button and the changes will appear on your page.
