Assumed knowledge: LAWS 1002 Introduction to Law.
Property law and the environment, trespass, nuisance and statutory controls. Federal and state government roles in regulating the environment including preservation of the natural, cultural and historical environment. Planning law; the role of the local government. The law relating to mining and resources; Aboriginal land rights, national and state reserves.
