Prerequisite(s): NURS 5033 Advanced Health Assessment and Nursing Diagnostics, NASC 5002 Pharmacology for Advanced Practice, WELF 5026 Social, Ethico-Legal and Organisational Frameworks.

Advanced nursing practice models relevant to the area of practice: Identification and exploration of practice issues/problems through reflection; critiques of literature and from other print and visual mediums (eg. novels, autobiographies, television or films); needs analysis; quality management; approaches to measuring outcomes; financial management; risk management; models of contemporary leadership; critical thinking; self directed learning; advanced communication and negotiation skills.
