Instructions

Transcript -  Disability Liaison Officer - Courses undertaken by students with disabilities

Students with disabilities undertake all sorts of courses – the full range of courses that

students without disabilities undertake.

We have blind students who are doing law and social work.  We have hearing impaired students

who are doing psychology, engineering, forensic science, education – across the board, and

students with all other disabilities such as depression, anxiety (very common), chronic fatigue

syndrome is very common, people who are in pain from neck or back injuries and other conditions

so it’s extremely broad.

My role is to talk to the student and figure out what ways we might be able to accommodate

whatever it is they’re experiencing.
