There will be no further intake into this program from 2008. A new Master of Library and Information Management has been developed within the School of Computer and Information Science.
Aim
The aim of this program is to educate students for a range of careers in the information professions, and to provide a program of advanced study to prepare graduates to undertake applied research and evaluation in the field of information studies.
Entry requirements
All applicants must be graduates who hold a nationally recognised first degree or its equivalent.
Students already holding a Graduate Diploma in Information Studies from the University of South Australia, a Graduate Diploma in Librarianship from the University of South Australia or the South Australian Institute of Technology, or a Graduate Diploma in Teacher Librarianship from the University of South Australia or the South Australian College of Advanced Education, will be able to enter directly into the second year of the program.
Content/structure
All students must complete 54 units of study composed of eight coursework courses (one of which must be a research methods course) each of 4.5 units value, followed by a thesis of 18 units.

Fees for International students: $AU 17,500 per 1.0 EFTSL for students commencing in 2010.
Fees are calculated on a per Unit basis with 1.0 EFTSL = 36 Units.
Fees for International students are determined one year in advance and are subject to variation.
