12/2005–07/2007 Researcher at Canon’s Leading-Edge Technology Research Headquarters, Human Machine Perception Laboratory, Tokyo, Japan. Conducting research on combining Augmented Reality with haptic devices and Tangible User Interfaces.

-10/2005 Doctor Univ. in Computer Science (equivalent to a Ph.D. degree), Munich University of Technology, Germany. Advisor: Prof. Gudrun Klinker (with co-advisor Steven Feiner, Columbia University, New York, USA).
