Dr. Maarten Immink is Lecturer in Human Movement in the School of Health Sciences. He coordinates and teaches the areas of skill acquisition and motor control within the human movement undergraduate degree program. Dr Immink is also an accredited exercise physiologist and contributes teaching and clinical supervision to the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Science. He is also an accredited yoga and meditation teacher.


Teaching interests

  • Dr Immink is interested in the neural and cognitive aspects of skill acquisition and motor control, including rehabilitation of motor impairments.
  • Dr Immink is actively engaged in clinical education, Honours Degree supervision, and post-graduate degree supervision.
