Innovations in Teaching and Learning

Teaching interests

  • For the last 24 years I have been engaged in teaching and curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the areas of Computer Architecture, CMOS IC Design, Digital System Design Modelling & Synthesis, Computer Communications & Networks, Microcontrollers, Electronics, & Electrical Circuits.
  • My teaching focusses on the development of independent learning, problem solving and critical thinking abilities through project-based approaches tailored to students' learning needs. I address students' academic and cultural diversity through careful intra- and inter-project scaffolding of progressively compelx tasks. Ways to engage students in lectures, tutorials and assessments are of particular interest to me.

I teach the following courses

EEET 1009Computer Hardware Design N
EEET 3025Computer Communications and Networks
EEET 4045VLSI Design G
