Ms Sue Tyerman

After completing a BSc at Sydney University I worked as a food technologist and quality controller in the food industry prior to moving to South Australia. Once in SA, I commenced study at Flinders University in Computer Science, completing a Postgraduate Diploma. My MSc was in the early days of the Net and investigated the different ways in which users interact with hypertext.

While studying I commenced part time tutoring, lecturing and some contract programming work. This led first to contract teaching positions at Flinders then UniSA in January, 1994.

I worked in the School of Computer and Information Science for fifteen years, teaching a wide range of courses, taking on administrative roles and undertaking research in areas related to human computer interaction, education, and graph theory. As leader of the Project Teaching Team we have been instrumental in streamlining the project courses in CIS and the celebration of the student work through the Project Fair Day.

On January 12, 2009, I commence a new phase of my career in the Planning and Assurance Services Unit as a Senior Evaluation Analyst.
