Understand the different postgraduate qualifications
There are many types of graduate qualification – postgraduate diploma, postgraduate bachelors degree, masters etc. Each of these represents a different level of achievement. It is important to know you are applying for the correct level. See the definitions
Some professional entry requirements are specific about the level of qualification you have achieved. You can find out which qualification is correct for your profession by contacting the Professional Association. When applying for jobs note that many employers won't have a good understanding of the different levels of qualifications. They will rely on your to explain what the qualification means.
