'SA Employers and International Students: Engineering a future together' student feedback DVD

In 2007 UniSA Career Services, the Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment (ITEE) and a number of South Australian employers collaborated to deliver a pilot course designed to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required for international students to be competitive in the South Australian labour market.

Funded by the Department of Trade and Economic Development (DTED), the course was delivered to just over 400 international post graduate engineering students studying either Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical and Information Engineering. In addition to workshops related to professional and interpersonal communication in the Australian workplace, a number of selected students undertook a work placement.

The results of the pilot were collated and reported in a document entitled 'SA Employers and International Students: Engineering a future together' (Berry 2007). Highlights of students' verbal feedback appear in a short DVD.
