How will the Career Services support me in finding work?

Career Services at universities in Australia offer very different services from those you may receive in your own country. Recruitment is also different.

Careers workshops

The Career Service offers workshops such as Job Search, Resumes, Responding to Selection Criteria. These are either advertised through Learning Connection or through your School.

Employers on Campus

Employers visit campus at the annual Careers Fair and Employer Presentations.

Careers Advisers

You can see a Career Adviser on a one-to-one basis at a Drop-in session. Contact Learning Connection on your campus for details about drop-in times.

The Career Service is also actively working to build relationships with employers and to work with your lecturers. While the Career Service aims to assist you as best it can, ultimately your success in finding employment is in your hands.
