Completed studies means changed employment options
Mature aged people undertake university study for a variety of reasons, but the most common reasons include:
-
A requirement to acquire qualifications to maintain current employment status, or to improve employment/career promotional prospects.
-
Obtaining qualifications as a stepping stone in returning to the work force after a significant period of absence etc. because of family or care-giving commitments, ill heath etc.
-
Obtaining qualifications that will assist with a career change.
The effect of completing your university studies is that your employment options have changed – for the better!
You will no doubt want to successfully promote to employers the positive changes in your employability to gain a role which is in keeping with your career goals, and which utilises the skills and knowledge you have acquired in your studies.
