Finding opportunities
You can network almost anywhere! Your family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and lecturers are a great place to start. Start by letting people know that you are interested in working in a particular industry or organisation, and asking if they have any contacts who may be able to offer you some advice. Career Fairs, Industry Associations and Professional Bodies also offer excellent networking opportunities.
One of the best places to begin your networking is at UniSA's Network Now dinner. Network Now provides the opportunity for UniSA students and graduates to meet and network with prominent UniSA Alumni and friends of UniSA who are successful in their chosen professions or careers.
Students and graduates who have attended past dinners have reported gaining valuable work experience opportunities, meeting people who have agreed to be their mentors and developing relationships that have led to job offers.
