Relocation for employment purposes
When carrying out research to identify your immediate employment options and/or for longer term career planning purposes, you might decide that you will have to relocate in order to gain employment, or to further your career. This might mean a move to either a rural area, another capital city in Australia, or perhaps even to another country.
Relocation is also a possibility if you are successful in gaining employment with an organisation that has offices elsewhere around the country (or worldwide). This could be for example with a large multi-national company, or a Federal or State Government department. There may be a requirement, as part of your employment and career progression with that organisation, for you to relocate either at the commencement of your employment, or at some designated time in the future.
When you relocate many aspects of your life will be affected, so your decision to do this should always be made objectively.
