Self employed individuals can be described as those people who operate their own economic enterprise, or engage independently in a profession or trade (with or without employees).

Being self employed is therefore one option that that you may wish to seriously consider when planning your career. Setting up your own business may be an employment goal either when you graduate, or a later stage in your career when you have gained more experience in your chosen field.
