Women in Non-Traditional Careers
UniSA encourages and supports females who undertake
studies
in non-traditional areas – for example, engineering, electronics,
IT
and mathematics. If you have selected a degree and career
path which, in
general, is non-traditional, you will find that there
are is a range of
supports available for helping you meet the challenges that may lie ahead. A
non-traditional career is
defined as one in which more than 75% of the work
force is of
the opposite gender, that is, in this case, females represent only
25% of the workforce.
