Announcement

This course can be taken as an elective by students enrolled in a program within  the Division of Business.

The current international environment. World economic conditions: production, income per capita and the distribution of wealth in the different countries and regions of the world; projected changes in these variables; the factors driving this change. Relationships between countries and regions: international trade; political structures and relationships. Differences across countries and regions: political, social, demographic and environmental comparisons. Political and social forces that contributed to the current international environment and which are shaping its future. Identifying the types of production and consumption that will take place, and the workplace skills that will be required in tomorrow’s world. Strategies for a changing world: applying understanding of the international environment to assist strategic planning by organisations and individuals.
