Prerequisite(s): SPRC 4004 Sport and Event Management or permission of the Course Coordinator

Historical development of sport organisations, sport competitions, sport events and sport tourism; and the regeneration of cities and regional areas; the sport and tourism relationship; the role of sport in the development of tourism; tourism-generated sports development; active sport tourism, event sport tourism and nostalgia sport tourism; motivations, behaviours and experiences of sport tourists; the economic, social and environmental impacts of sport tourism; sport related museums, halls of fame and sporting heritage; issues and trends specific to sport organisations, sport events and sport tourism.
