Course details
Prerequisite(s): HLTH 1020 Human Anatomy 100.
Introductory biology- characteristics and classification of living things, genetics, homeostasis. Study of body functions and structure with emphasis on changes through the lifespan, and pathophysiology: blood and fluids, heart and circulation, haemostasis and muscle, introduction to the nervous system, the endocrine and urinary systems; digestion, metabolism and nutrition: homeostasis, nerves, respiration and immunity. Integrative physiology: examination of physiological demands of occupations, endurance, conditioning fitness, pathophysiology.
