Prerequisite(s): EDUC 3035 Catholic Studies 3: Religious Education
Not available to students who have successfully completed EDUC 3020 Contemporary Approaches to Catechesis A.
This course explores the broader religious dimension of the Catholic school through an exploration of social justice, prayer and ritual, liturgy, family, parish and school partnerships, sacraments and family life education. It examines the relationship between these areas and the formal Religious Education curriculum and prepares students for their final practicum experience in a Catholic school. An important element of this course is the design and evaluation of a unit of work for the final practicum.
