Students can be referred to Learning Connection when you are concerned about:
Learning Connection has developed an electronic referral that replaces the old referral cards. We suggest you save the form in your favourites.
Both you and the student will receive an email acknowledgement that Learning Connection has received the referral.
If the student makes an appointment to see someone at Learning Connection, you will be advised either by telephone or email by that staff member.
If you do not receive a follow-up email or telephone call it will be because the student has decided not to contact Learning Connection.
Neither the e-referral nor our database can accept groups of students. To recommend a group of students email your local Learning Connection office, identify the students and the type of intervention you think they need.
If you believe that a student is at risk of self-harm or harming others and you need an immediate response, follow-up the e-referral with a telephone call to your local Learning Connection office.
The e-referral is not designed to be used by students for a self-referral. Drop-ins at Learning Connection are available every day so that students can attend a 10 minute assessment interview. Alternatively you can contact Learning Connection by email or telephone.
