Academic Development

The Academic Development team at Learning Connection has an enabling role to improve the learning and teaching environment of the University through the provision of activities and resources in the areas of learning, teaching and research education. Academic Development staff work with academic staff to achieve the strategic learning and teaching directions of the University and focus specifically on creating an education environment that will engage students in experiential learning and help them achieve meaningful, rich and deep learning outcomes.

Learning Connection provides access to a rich array of information, services and resources which assist academic staff to conceptualise the distinctive learning and teaching framework of the University of South Australia and help them develop their teaching practices in a scholarly and supportive environment. Academic Development staff are involved in induction activities, Teaching @ UniSA, Tutoring @ UniSA, Supervising @ UniSA and a number of other activities that are identified through annual service agreements with Divisions and other areas of the University. Many resources on this website are specific to UniSA but the site also provides links to websites of related interest across the world which can provide academic staff with global perspectives to inform academic development in teaching practice and research.
