New staff
The University is committed to recruiting and retaining quality staff and is therefore committed to a high quality induction program for new staff.
University induction program and website
The induction program at UniSA provides an overview of what you should expect from your individual induction program. A detailed explanation of the key components is included. The University has an Induction website for all new staff which provides a broad overview of the University and forms a part of the induction program.
Teaching and Learning induction website
Induction Teaching and Learning website. This website contains an online version of an induction workshop entitled “The Teaching and Learning Environment”. As part of the University of South Australia’s induction program (Word doc), four structured elements are offered. This website is an online version of part three. By working through this web-site, and completing the activities contained within, you will have met the requirements for this element of the formal induction process. Please allow approximately 1 hour to complete the process. Further induction and staff development resources are available through Human resources, including material for inducting new Course coordinators.
Induction resources for transnational teaching staff
The Transnational Teaching website has links to a set of induction materials for Program Directors inducting non-UniSA teaching staff who work with partner organisations. For UniSA teaching staff, the Preparing To Teach Offshore website has information about seminars for academic teaching in transnational programs for the first time.
