Academic Integrity for staff
Academic integrity is a fundamental value of teaching, learning and scholarship. The University of South Australia has designed a systematic and coherent framework to foster academic integrity and manage academic dishonesty.
The demonstration of academic integrity is integral to the development of a graduate's ethical perspective necessary for beginning professional practice or for a future in publishing and research.
Academic integrity is demonstrated through our commitment to the development of graduate qualities in the curriculum by:
- understanding and building on other people’s ideas (graduate quality 1)
- locating, evaluating and managing the sources of those ideas (graduate quality 2)
- group work where members understand the importance of personally completing individually assigned tasks but also acknowledging work done by the group (graduate quality 4)
- a commitment to personal ethical actions (graduate quality 5)
- the communication of ideas and words and the sources of such work (graduate quality 6).
This web site provides you with information about the resources and systems available within the University that will assist you with the development of academic integrity and the management of academic dishonesty.
