Exit surveys
The Graduate Careers Council of Australia (GCCA) is responsible for the collection and aggregation of national data each year relating to the graduates of Australian universities. Data is collected using graduate surveys administered by home institutions.
At the University of South Australia, three surveys are administered on behalf of the GCCA each year.
As a graduate you will be asked to complete either one of the following:
- Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) / Graduate Destination Survey(GDS)
- Postgraduate Research Experience Questionnaire (PREQ)
- Postgraduate Destination Survey (Postgrad)
These surveys are usually administered within four months following graduation.
From 2006, the aggregated data will be used by the Commonwealth government to nationally benchmark universities and to rate them against each other for various funding support and grants.
At the local level the information is used by the University to identify issues and areas in need of improvement within teaching and services.
Student confidentiality is assured and your feedback does make a difference to the university wide approach to things like assessment and feedback. So please take the time to complete a survey.
