Your first few weeks at a new university can be challenging and exciting, especially if you are a Study Abroad/Exchange student who has travelled from a different country and may be experiencing a new culture. This page suggests some ways to help you settle into Adelaide and become familiar with University of SA procedures.
Before you leave, you need to choose your courses and/or program of study with the approval of your supervisor from your home university. Your study program will be finalised at enrolment time and during online enrolment at orientation to UniSA for International Students at the University of South Australia.
If you begin study in study period 2 (formerly Semester 1) arrive in Adelaide before Monday 18 February 2008. If you begin study in study period 5 (formerly Semester 2) arrive in Adelaide before Monday 14 July 2008.

Once Learning Connection staff receive this information they can arrange for a member of the On-Arrival Reception team to meet you at the airport or train/bus station and then take you to your short-term accommodation.

Once Learning Connection staff have received this information from you, they will book temporary accommodation for you. You will need to pay for this yourself upon arrival. You may stay there (in most cases) until you have found long-term accommodation. This may take up to four weeks in busy periods.
