Aboriginal Studies involves the study of the cultures, history and contemporary situations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their relationships with the broader society. It encompasses descriptions and analyses derived from Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal sources, and focuses on understanding the issues central to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contemporary society.
