This sub-major is not available for new students from 2008 - only available to continuing students who enrolled in this sub-major before 2008.
The Information Studies sub-major aims to provide students with skills in research, locating, retrieving and evaluating information, managing and organising a range of materials including records and electronic information, and setting up image and text databases.
The 27 unit sub-major in Information Studies is available with any of the Professional Majors in the Bachelor of Arts, and other Professional Majors across the University. It may also be taken as a minor (18 units)
It is assumed that students undertaking these courses have sound computing skills.
