Arts Education aims to:
- introduce students to an in-depth, multidisciplinary study in the arts;
- extend students' insights into the creative, technical and social skills, knowledge and values in the arts;
- encourage students to be actively involved in the critical analysis of arts and arts education practices;
- encourage students to develop specific strengths and interests in the arts;
- encourage students to consider a career path in arts education.
Arts Education is available as a major of 8 courses (36 units), sub-major of 6 courses (27 units) and a minor of 4 courses (18 units). The Arts Education: Research Project 1 is a core course. The remainder of the courses may be selected from the courses listed below, from the Education School, the School of Communication, Information and New Media, and the South Australian School of Art. Prerequisites must be observed.
