Art/Design Studies introduces the student to the fundamentals of art and design including ways of seeing, interpretation and conceptual development in both two and three dimensions. These principles are more fully explored in a wide range of studio courses in Levels 2 and 3. Level 1 provides a structured introductory program while Levels 2 and 3 offer a wide choice of courses supplemented by a core visual arts theory course.

Notes
Students must complete two Level 1 courses and one Level 2 course from the list above. The remaining three courses for the sub-major are available from electives in the South Australian School of Art undergraduate degrees of the DBVS Bachelor of Visual Arts (Specialisation)and the DBVC Bachelor of Visual Communication.
