Disability Liaison Officer has two major roles. The primary role is to
assist students
with disabilities in negotiating with lecturers about what they might need
and in providing
whatever funded services they might need.
But the
other major role that DLO’s have is to educate University staff about the
Disability
Discrimination Act and about their obligations under that Act so we’re not
inadvertently in
breach of that Act.
