If the ideas in the text you are reading incorporate some sort of hierarchy, different parts of a whole, or categories and sub-categories with certain features, then a tree diagram may be an appropriate form of noting. On it you can show the various groupings and sub-groupings and the relationships between them. Organise the ideas in your text into a tree diagram that looks something like the tree diagram below.
