Revising and redrafting your report
The following questions may help you in the process of
revising and redrafting your report:
Structure
- does the report clearly and explicitly answer every part
of the question?
- is your report clearly structured into sections
(introduction, description of the interview, reflection of the interview and conclusion)
and subsections?
- is there a suitable balance between the various parts?
Content
- does your introduction state the purpose of the interview
and of the report, state when and with whom the interview took place and give the general
structure of the report?
- does each section and subsection have a clear topic
sentence that states the main point of the section? does that main point relate explicitly
to one part of the assignment question?
- do the other sentences in each section expand on the
topic sentence in some way?
- do they provide evidence or support for the point you are
making in that section?
- have you shown the relationship between ideas by using
appropriate linking words or phrases?
- does your conclusion state what you have learned from the
assignment?
Referencing
- are all ideas and quotes from other sources correctly
referenced?
- is the reference list (if you have one) complete and
accurate?
Writing
- have you checked the spelling, grammar, punctuation?
