The ATN project "Embedding Peer Review of Learning and Teachning in e-Learning and Blended Learning Environments" provides overarching framework and extends online peer review system to include aspects beyond e-learning. The UniSA led project "Peer Review of Online Learning and Teachning" provides access to a web enabled tool and additional interface desgin, accessibility and technical criteria relating specifically to online learning not originally envisaged in the ATN project.

Grey boxes show distinctive elements of the “peer review of an online course” project led by Dr Denise Wood (UniSA). These elements are:
- Direct link from peer review to central database to save results of review and enable access to support applications for academic promotion and awards
- Dissemenation of open source peer review software
- Online peer review system using criteria for best practice including instructional design, inclusivity and technical aspects relating to online course delivery
Green boxes show distinctive elements of the “embedding peer review of online learning and teaching in e-learning and blended learning environments” project led by Dr Jo McKenzie (UTS). These elements are:
- Project website with case studyies, guidelines and resources
- Workshops conducted to train academics in protocols for embedding peer review processes in blended learning environments and to guide academic supervisors in use of peer review reports to make judgements about quality of teaching and learning
- Guidelines developed for implementing and embedding peer review processes in institutions and modifications to institutional policies and practices
Mauve boxes show aspects of both projects that will complement and contribute to each other. These aspects are:
- Resource Website including embedded links providing rationale for the criteria, relevant literature and exemplars
- Workshops conducted to train academics in protocols for embedding peer review processes in blended learning environments and in use of the online peer review system
- Guidelines developed for implementing and embedding peer review processes in institutions and modifications to institutional policies and practices, and in use of online peer review tool
- Dissemination of guidelines, project materials
- Evaluation of project
