Aim
The program is designed to provide continuing education for graduate students normally from disciplines associated with the building, engineering and real estate industries to their specific professional interests.
Entry requirements
Applicants would normally have completed an undergraduate degree in built environment, engineering, surveying, architecture, or project management; or an equivalent qualification; or a minimum of six years of relevant industry experience.
For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic): Minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing subscores and minimum overall score of 6.5 obtained within the last two years or corresponding results from an equivalent test such as TOEFL or the appropriate Academic English language level delivered at CELUSA; or
- Successful completion of a tertiary qualification at diploma level or above completed in Australia within the last two years; or
- Successful completion of at least two years of tertiary study at diploma level or above conducted and completed in English within the last five years in a country in which English is commonly used, as determined by the University. Where the study in English was more than five years ago, this requirement may be satisfied by subsequent and recent work experience of two or more years duration in a setting where English is the language of business subject to satisfactory evidence as determined by the Program Director.
Content/structure
The graduate certificate requires the completion of courses totalling 18 units from the elective courses offered.

Rules
No course which is substantially equivalent to a course taken in gaining another award may be included in the program of study unless the previous award is surrendered. Credit will not normally be given for more than one third of the total units of the program.
Notes
- The program will normally be available for full-time study over one study period or part-time study over two study periods.
- Not all courses will be available in any one calendar year.
- Students may select any combination of courses to construct individual programs of study. Alternative courses from other existing postgraduate programs or final year courses in the relevant degree programs may be approved by the Head of School.
