Aim

This program provides motivated graduates from diverse disciplinary backgrounds with an advanced understanding of international best practice in project management adopted by many government and industry sectors worldwide.

Entry requirements

Applicants should normally hold an undergraduate degree, a Graduate Certificate in Project Management or Graduate Certificate in Project Management (Assets and Facilities), or a recognised equivalent qualification. Selection is based on academic merit.

For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic): Minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing subscores and minimum overall score of 6.5 obtained within the last two years or corresponding results from an equivalent test such as TOEFL or the appropriate Academic English language level delivered at CELUSA; or

Content/structure

The program requires the completion of eight core courses complying with the rules for the program making a total of 36 units for the Graduate Diploma.

Notes

  1. The Principles of Project Management A course (BUSS 5142) should be undertaken at the first opportunity. The Applied Project Management (BUSS 5146) course should be undertaken towards the end of the program.
  2. Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Project Management program or an equivalent program will receive credit, subject to approval from the Program Director.
  3. The program is available either full-time over one year or part-time over two or more years
