Aim

This program provides motivated graduates, skilled practitioners and professionals from diverse disciplinary backgrounds with an advanced understanding of international best practice in civil engineering currently adopted worldwide by many industry sectors. It also provides students with the opportunity to integrate and apply knowledge to examine and evaluate case studies and develop, organise and undertake investigation projects in civil engineering.

Entry requirements

A relevant four year bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent qualification to qualify for admission.

Content/structure

The Master of Civil Engineering is an advanced program of 48 units comprising 11 constituent courses (4 x 4.5 unit courses plus 1 x 6 unit courses offered by UniSA and 4 x 4.5 unit courses plus 2 x 3.0 unit courses offered by BUCEA) in civil engineering and related topics. Notes

  1. This program is a full fee paying program and is offered subject to market demand and other conditions.
  2. This program is offered in intensive block mode in Beijing, People's Republic of China using bilingual delivery as approved by the University. Each course will have 39 hours of formal lectures and tutorials supported by BUCEA.
  3. Credit will not normally be granted for more than one third of the total units of the program.
  4. Courses completed in the Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering program may be counted towards the Master of Civil Engineering program. The lesser award must be surrendered before the higher award is conferred.
