This program is designed for transnational applicants from APMI, Singapore. All other applicants please refer to LMEN.
Aim
The program aims to provide graduates with the skills for managing today's advanced technology through the study of technology innovation and management, economic justification, energy management and sustainability, the planning and control of the implementation process and the cultural changes required at the workplace. It will equip engineers and managers with the combined technological knowledge and management skills necessary for the development and organisation of manufacturing and related businesses.
Entry requirements
The selection of students will be administered by the UniSA. An applicant for admission to the program must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Engineering, Management or Information Technology degree with relevant work experience or recognised equivalent
Teaching will be in English, so a working knowledge of the English language is assumed. Consistent with the University policy.
For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic): Minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing subscores and minimum overall score of 6.0 obtained within the last two years or corresponding results from an equivalent test such as TOEFL or the appropriate Academic English language level delivered at CELUSA; or
Successful completion of a tertiary qualification at diploma level or above completed in Australia within the last two years; or
Successful completion of two or more years of tertiary study at diploma level or above conducted and completed in English within the last five years in a country in which:
- English is an official language; or
- English is commonly used, as determined by the University.
Where the study in English was more than five years ago, this requirement may be satisfied by subsequent and recent work experience of two or more years duration in a setting where English is the language of business subject to satisfactory evidence as determined by the Program Director.
Content/structure
This program is designed to provide technologists and managers with a sound theoretical and practical education in the technology and techniques, which are vital to the continued development of industry. It will also give a thorough understanding of the implications of these technologies and techniques for the development and organisation of manufacturing and related businesses. The program therefore has a focus on both engineering business understanding and a broad understanding of advanced manufacturing technologies.
Students will be required to complete the courses listed in the program schedule indicated below, totalling 54 units, to be eligible for the Master of Technology Management.
The program consists of ten 4.5 unit courses and a 9-unit, Cases in Manufacturing and Technology Management (MFET 5045) course.

Notes
Students who successfully complete a total of 36 units of study are eligible to exit with a Graduate Diploma in Technology Management. Students who successfully complete the first four courses offered in the program will be eligible to exit with a Graduate Certificate in Technology Management should they wish to discontinue their studies in the Masters program.
