Colonial Secretary's Office

July 28th. 1821

Revd. Sir,

Having brought under the consideration of His Excellency the Governor the Catechism and Hymns which you confided to my care, I have now in command to inform you that His Excellency feels it would be indelicate to give any opinion as to the propriety of their being printed for the use of your Congregations, during the absence of the Revd. Mr Connolly. I accordingly return them herewith.

I have the honor to be

Revd Sir

Your obedient humble Servant

F. Goulburn

Colonial Secretary
