I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 4th instant and to beg that you will have the kindness to convey to His Excellency Sir Thomas Brisbane KCB my most sincere thanks for the highly gratifying financial arrangement which His Excellency has graciously made in favor of the Roman Catholic Chapel.
To you also, Sir, I feel greatly indebted for the very polite and condescending manner in which you have been pleased to communicate to me His Excellency's pleasure.
