Reverend J.J. Therry presents respectful compliments to Mrs Bowman and begs she will have the goodness to intercede with Dr Bowman in behalf of his servant Martin Walsh who has been ordered, for having come to this house for the purpose of attending his religious duties, to be confined in a watch house then in a Prisoners' Barracks, to be afterwards sent to a distant farm where he fears he shall never again have an opportunity of receiving the sacred rites of his Religion. He begs also to assure Mrs Bowman that strict attention to religious duties powerfully contributes to make servants as well as other persons faithful and honest.
