Sydney

3rd. August 1825

Reverend Sir,

I think it right to acquaint you that in consequence of the advertisement published by you in the Sydney Gazette of the 16th. of June last, I have considered it my duty in my own justification to appeal to the Right Reverend Doctor Poynter, Vicar Apostolic in London, and I have transmitted a copy of that letter to the Governor, requesting His Excellency to forward it thro' Sir Loury Cole to Doctor Slater at the Mauritius by the first opportunity.

I remain,

Reverend Sir,

Your obedient Servant

T. H. Scott
