Reverend Sir,

With reference to my former letter of this date, I have the honor to inform you that, by direction of His Excellency the Governor, the Surveyor General has been instructed to mark out the ground attached to the Roman Catholic Chapel in Sydney and to select a suitable allotment for the erection of a Catholic Chapel in Parramatta.

The Auditor has also received instructions to the effect that you are to receive an Allowance of One Hundred Pounds in addition to your salary for the first year commencing from the date of your arrival.
