Wednesday 4 September 1844. Wrote by the Mail Steamer Teviot which sailed this morning to D^r Cullen, Bishop Foran, Mr. Troy, Mr. Jerningham, Mr. Grantley Berkeley and Mr. Taylor. Forwarded nearly 150 newspapers.

Friday 27 September 1844. Received a paper from the Marshal's office, being the commencement of a law suit on the part of D^r Clancy.

Monday 30 September 1844. Gave 50 dollars to Abbé Coste.
