I am currently on long service leave from 16 July to 1 November inclusive. In my absence my colleague Lisa Beythien will be acting in my position (see link below). Please direct any enquiries to Lisa at careers@unisa.edu.au.
I have been employed at UniSA for over 20 years. Initially I worked in administration with Techsearch and then ITEK, the commercial company associated with the University. In this area I was involved with a broad range of University schools and units and therefore have an extensive knowledge of the University campuses and activities.
In 2002 I moved into the Division of ITE&E involved in the Industry Internship Program pilot. This program initially involved only students in the Division but later embraced all divisions in the University.
The IIP was devolved in late 2004 into the Employment Relations section of Career Services, in Flexible Learning Centre, Underdale Campus, where I assisted with career and employment enquiries, placing website employment vacancies, and with student presentations and seminars.
In July 2008, following restructure within the Flexible Learning Centre, the Career Services Unit moved to new premises in the David Pank Building, 160 Currie Street, Adelaide. This is now the office of the Director, Learning and Teaching Unit, UniSA of which Career Services forms part. My position within Career Services is now Events and Communications Officer, responsible for managing employer events, liaising with employers for work placement opportunities and assisting with employer and student enquiries.
