As Manager: Organisational Learning & Development, I work with a small team in the Human Resources Unit to co-ordinate and advise on organisational learning and professional development opportunities and related policy initiatives to assist; staff acclimatise to the institution and to develop their understanding of the institution and their role, rights and responsibilities within it; in building organisational and workforce capabilities, required to achieve the University’s strategic goals; in creating opportunities for staff to develop further the professional and/or technical skills and knowledge required to meet changing workplace requirements; in enhancing common understandings of the University’s intent and directions; in developing sustainable learning communities within the University; in providing learning and develop opportunities for staff in defined equity groups; the University to foster a workplace culture that supports achievement of UniSA's mission and goals.
Prior to this appointment, I had been employed in the university sector for almost twenty years as: - Co-ordinator: Organisational Learning, Chancellery (2000-2002) - Senior Project Officer, Human Resources Unit, UniSA (1999-2000) - Executive Officer to the Vice Chancellor, UniSA (1997-'99) - Executive Officer to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, UniSA (1995, 1996-'97) - research officer for student organisations at the University of South Australia (1991-1995), University of New South Wales (1984-1990) and Macquarie University (1982-1984).
I graduated from the Ballarat College of Advanced Education (1981), completed a MA(qual) and studied for a Masters by research degree with the University of Adelaide.
