Associate Professor Jon Buckley is the Director of the Nutritional Physiology Research Centre at the University of South Australia and a Co-Director of the Australian Technology Network Centre for Metabolic Fitness. He is also Associate Editor of the journal Nutrients.

Jon's research interests focus on the effects of diet and exercise on cardiometabolic health, brain health and physical function in populations ranging from patient groups to elite athletes.

Apart from his publications (see below for recent publications), Jon's research has led to the registration of 9 patents for novel foods and other technologies for improving health and athletic performance. His work has also contributed to changes in international food policy.
